Not to be confused with maple sugar (which is made by crystalizing maple syrup on very high heat). Maple sap sugar is made from the sap itself and is distinct from refined sugars like cane sugar or beet sugar due to its source and minimal processing. It retains some trace minerals and has a rich, caramel-like, and distinctly maple flavour. A great addition to your morning coffee or evening cocktail. Useful in any recipe that calls for sweetness.
